Sydney: This is Must-Know Bulgarian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 17. In this lesson, you'll learn popular everyday idioms.
Sydney: These are phrases which might sound strange at first as they have nothing to do with the meaning of the words which make them up.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Sydney: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Petar: откривам Америка (otkrivam Amerika)
Petar: пращам за зелен хайвер (prashtam za zelen hayver)
Petar: познавам му и кътните зъби (poznavam mu i katnite zabi)
Petar: правя се на две и половина (pravya se na dve i polovina)
Sydney: Petar, what's our first expression?
Petar: откривам Америка (otkrivam Amerika)
Sydney: literally meaning "to discover America." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to discover or realize."

Sydney: literally meaning "to know even his molar teeth." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to know someone through and through."
