There isn't a strict rule, but generally, "ъ" (a) maintains its short "u" sound when it is in the middle of a word or followed by a consonant. It can sound more like a schwa in other contexts, especially at the end of a word.

Please explain a bit how to pronounce letter "ъ". In some cases it sounds like "u" (like in "къде"), while in other ones like "y" (like in "добър"). Is there any rule or something?

здравей and здрасти are both words you will use when greeting one person only, where здрасти is the more informal of them, and it is best to use only among very close friends.

The plural form to use when greeting more people is здравейте.

An alternative word to use to say hello is привет. You can use it both when you speak to one or to several people.

I would add "I would like". I know that "Iskam" is "I want", but is it nicer to say "I would like" ?
