| In this lesson, we'll introduce you to some more useful phrases for hotels and the like. The first phrase is "What time is checkout?" In Bulgarian, this is Koga tryabva da osvobodya stayata? Let's break it down by syllable. Ko-ga trya-bva da os-vo-bo-dya sta-ya-ta? The first word, koga, means "when" in Bulgarian. Then you have tryabva da, which means "should," "must," or "have to." After that, you have osvobodya, which is "to free." Let's break it down by syllable. Os-vo-bo-dya. Following that, we have stayata. This means "the room." Let's break it down by syllable. Sta-ya-ta. So, to recap here, we have Koga tryabva da osvobodya stayata? Literally, this means "What time do I have to leave the room?" |
| Let's try to ask "Can I have some soap?" This is Moje li sapun? Let's break it down. Mo-je li sapun? The first word is moje li, and it means "Can I have" Let's break down this word. Mo-je li. Then you have sapun, which means "soap." Now, this noun here, sapun, is in the accusative. Usually, the Bulgarian hotels will have soap, but just in case you need to ask, we prepared this example. |
