INTRODUCTION
Eric: Must-Know Bulgarian Social Media Phrases Season 1. Lesson 9 - Talking About an Injury.
Eric: Hi, everyone, I'm Eric.
Tanya: And I'm Tanya.
Eric: In this lesson, you'll learn how to post and leave comments in Bulgarian about being injured. Камен (Kamen) suffers a painful injury, posts an image of it, and leaves this comment:
Tanya: Тази сутрин - посещение до Бърза помощ. (Tazi sutrin - poseshtenie do Barza pomosht.)
Eric: Meaning - "This morning - a visit to the emergency room." Listen to a reading of the post and the comments that follow.

POST
Eric: Listen again to Камен (Kamen)'s post.
Tanya: Тази сутрин - посещение до Бърза помощ. (Tazi sutrin - poseshtenie do Barza pomosht.)
Eric: "This morning - a visit to the emergency room."
Tanya: (SLOW) Тази сутрин - посещение до Бърза помощ. (Tazi sutrin - poseshtenie do Barza pomosht.) (Regular) Тази сутрин - посещение до Бърза помощ. (Tazi sutrin - poseshtenie do Barza pomosht.)
Eric: Let's break this down. First is an expression meaning "This morning."
Tanya: Тази сутрин (Tazi sutrin)
Eric: In Bulgarian, you can start a sentence with the verb because you can omit a pronoun. For example…
Tanya: отидох до Бърза помощ
Eric: It means “I went to the emergency room.” You can often start the sentence with some indication about the time. For example…
Tanya: тази сутрин
Eric: “this morning”
Tanya: утре вечер
Eric: “tomorrow evening,” and so on. Listen again - "This morning" is...
Tanya: (SLOW) Тази сутрин (Tazi sutrin) (REGULAR) Тази сутрин (Tazi sutrin)
Eric: Then comes the phrase - "a visit to the emergency room."
Tanya: посещение до Бърза помощ (poseshtenie do Barza pomosht)
Eric: A visit to the emergency room is always associated with a negative personal experience or some kind of accident. The emergency room is also where you look for medical help during the night. When saying “emergency room,” you need to use the word...
Tanya: Бърза
Eric: Which means "fast" and not “emergency.” Listen again - "a visit to the emergency room" is...
Tanya: (SLOW) посещение до Бърза помощ (poseshtenie do Barza pomosht) (REGULAR) посещение до Бърза помощ (poseshtenie do Barza pomosht)
Eric: Altogether, "This morning - a visit to the Emergency room."
Tanya: Тази сутрин - посещение до Бърза помощ. (Tazi sutrin - poseshtenie do Barza pomosht.)
