Cultural Insight
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Petar: Remember Чао (Ciao) from the last lesson? Bulgarians use another loanword for "thank you", and this time it is the French "Merci" ("Мерси"). If you’re not sure about whether to use мерси or благодаря, keeping it simple is always your safest bet. You don’t have to worry about formal or informal situations; благодаря and almost all expressions containing it can be used with just about anyone, anywhere, and at anytime!

Outro

Becky: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Petar: До скоро!
